Genesis

PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Indore, a civil sector school was established on 29.06.1964. It has seen more than 50 springs and many ups and downs yet it is flourishing rapidly with remarkable success and manifold achievements.
It is situated in the heart of the city, spread at the area of 10 acre. Its ambiance is pleasant, safe, aesthetic and arcadian which provides homely environment to every knowledge seeker. It is surrounded by abundant greenery. The school was initially run for one section in a temporary building and gradually enhanced day by day and now it’s running in two shifts in its permanent building.
It caters to the need of 2723 students in two shifts. Presently we have 4 sections in the first shift comprising of 2 sections of Science Stream,1 section of Commerce stream and one section of Humanities stream with around 2000 children. In second shift we have 2 sections, 1 section of Science Stream and one section of Commerce stream with around 727 children.
K V No. 1 Indore works as a collaborative unit with 97 well trained teaching staff, 11 efficient office staff and 12 hard working outsourcing members.
